And I am Emma Isgrigg, orginally
from the United Kingdom I have
lived in the USA for almost 20
years. I grew up in and around
old houses and renovating this
lovely old home has been my
passion and my pain (those of
you who have worked with an old
home will completely understand
the pain reference!) for the past 8
years. So now I am moving on
and so I am selling my baby. The
point of this blog, and believe me
I am no blogger, is to get this
wonderful house `out there` to
someone who will perhaps
appreciate it as I have and do.
Now don`t get me wrong I`d like
to get a decent price, but I also
sincerely wish for this house to
be purchased by some one who
loves too the sense of history and
design in this home. Someone
who marvels at the detail of
ornate door knobs and hinges
from a bygone age and for who
the undulations and weathering
of old hardwood floors is a joy

This beautiful home was built
C.1885 in a Folk Victorian style
although over the years she has
unfortunately lost her exterior
gingerbread. However, a great
many original features remain
inside. From the street you would
never guess that this home is
2218 sqft or that in most of the
downstairs rooms boast 12ft
ceilings. Your first clue to her
secrets is the huge carved front
door with the original twist bell,
wavy glass and hardware.
